The Black Marriage Day 2008 Marriage Hall of Fame is a heart-felt effort to recognize, and awaken
in others, the importance and significance of marriage in the African-American community. We seek
to honor, in perpetuity, those couples who have led by example, holding together their marriages for
decades, and whose enduring bond and love, inspires us all.
A call for Black Marriage Day 2008 Marriage Hall of Fame Nominations is currently being issued. Five married couples will be selected as honorees for the Black Marriage Day Marriage
Hall of Fame. A sixth newlywed couple that shows great promise for a
successful marriage will also be recognized. In addition, 100 Couples will renew their sacred vows on that day.
To nominate a deserving couple: simply download the nomination form, complete it, and e-mail it back to hasqshaw@aol.com, or drlrozier@yahoo.com. (For faxing: please inquire below.)
During the Black Marriage Day 2008 weekend of celebrations, the chosen couples will be
recognized, honored, and immortalized through song, prose, and prayer for their distinguished
example as a longtime, or promising newlywed, married couple.
